Giving all the ability

OUR MISSION
Cycling Without Age is a non-profit social enterprise started in 2012 by Ole Kassow in Copenhagen, Denmark. As one of over 3,000 affiliate chapters of CWA, Cycling Without Age Door County improves the lives of older adults and persons with disabilities in our community by providing safe slow trishaw rides, free of charge, throughout our beautiful state parks and along the less traveled roads of our county.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
The backbone of this program is our network of trained volunteer pilots. At present, more than 39,000 trained pilots around the world ensure that older adults and persons with disabilities get out on the trishaws to enjoy the fresh air and community around them. Volunteer pilots reunite and connect people of all ages and abilities and are an example of what is possible when positive energy and generosity are combined.
OUR INSPIRATION
Can a trishaw ride help make the world a better place? Of course it can by promoting good health and well-being, a sense of connection, and the ability to get out and enjoy the community through sustainable travel. Cycling Without Age Door County provides opportunities for individuals to remain an active part of society and the local community, experience the beauty of Door County, enjoy nature close up from the seat of a trishaw, and tell stories in the place where they have lived their lives.
